Ship-wide live streaming
Anthem of the Seas offer ship-wide internet connectivity with fast enough speeds that passengers can stream Netflix, use Facebook Live, and Skype friends and family back home. This uniquely powerful travel internet service, which the company refers to as Voom, can cost as little as $10 per day!
Skydiving at sea
Ripcord by iFly is the perfect skydiving service for people not yet ready to jump out of a plane. Situated at the rear of the ship, passengers will find a wind tunnel that is 10 feet in diameter and 23 feet tall. With a special suit and dedicated instructor to make sure you get the most out of the experience, Ripcord by iFly is a great way to do something a little different on your cruise – and, best of all, it’s included in your regular fare!
Anthem of the Sea is the only cruise ship in the world that has a fully operational bumper car facility – taken together with roller skating and other sports and activities on offer, this makes it virtually a floating funfair!
A new trend in live entertainment, ‘escape rooms’ are themed games where players solve a number of clues, riddles and puzzles to find the way out of a locked room. On Anthem of the Seas, this takes the form of ‘Escape from the Future’ – a complimentary game from Puzzle break, who have created similar installations in a number of cities around the world.
Jamie Oliver’s cuisine
When passengers have tired themselves out with al the above, what better way to relax than in the restaurant of one of the UK’s most famous chefs? TV personality Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant brings all the sophistication of top quality dining to the open seas.
The innovations on Anthem of the Seas demonstrate that Royal Caribbean is finding interesting new ways to engage with travellers. And, if the comments on the company’s blog (and its share price!) are anything to go by, it’s working!
