Radisson Hotels looks to drive growth with Ctrip partnership

Ctrip International, China’s largest online purveyor of travel and travel-related services, has announced a partnership with Radisson Hotels. The strategic coupling will look to expand the distribution of Radisson’s properties around the globe, and drive more Chinese travellers to the brand. It will also result in growth within China’s borders – and, of course, for Ctrip, it adds another major luxury hotelier to its books internationally.

Radisson has more than 1,100 hotels in operation around the globe. Adding them to Ctrip’s platform will be a win for both companies, as Radisson is eager to make further in-roads with international Chinese travellers (an increasingly massive and important demographic in global tourism), and Ctrip will expand its overseas offering considerably through the partnership.

Eric De Neef, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Radisson Hotel Group said: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement and look forward to our collaboration with Ctrip. Ctrip is a powerful partner supporting our reach expansion in China and the entire Asia-Pacific region. At the same time, we will be able to jointly bring more Chinese travelers to our EMEA and U.S. properties and to further strengthen Radisson Hotel Group's upcoming "Welcome China" value proposition for our guests".

Ray Chen, CEO of Ctrip’s accommodation business unit, added: "We're very excited to be deepening our collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world's largest premium hospitality groups.
