PVH Corp. pushes further into Europe with IZOD brand
PVH Corp., the apparel maker behind some of the fashion world’s most sought after brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Van Heusen, is looking to expand its European footprint. To do that, it will bring “one of its most iconic heritage brand lines” to the continent – IZOD. Customers in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia will have access to the brand for the first time from this autumn. And PVH is sure it will be a hit.

IZOD’s fall / winter 2018 collection “celebrates the brand’s rich all-American heritage, inspired by Ivy League colleges, coastal towns and the grand inland scenery.” The company says that this collection is made up of two “capsules” – Winter Nautical, which addresses college prep and nautical themes, and Explorer, which offers a “quintessential winter look.”
The decision to expand onto the continent wasn’t taken lightly – Ken Duane, CEO of Heritage Brands at PVH, said: “When looking to expand the presence of our classic IZOD brand globally, we saw great opportunity in Europe.” Putting a bit more meat on the bones, Oliver Timm, PVH Europe’s chief commercial officer, added:
“We believe there is significant demand for apparel that is colorful with a soft-washed, relaxed feel and unique performance-driven features. This offering delivers a value proposition not currently available in the market. Combining this with IZOD’s strong reputation as a quality lifestyle brand, should fill the void between fast-fashion labels and higher-priced American attire.”
