LVMH open house – now available on four continents
Every two years, luxury giant LVMH opens the doors of a number of its fashion houses to the public, letting them glimpse the interior workings of some of the luxury world’s most iconic names. This year marks the fourth installment of its ‘Les Journées Particulières’ and will take place over October 12 – 14. It will also be the most ambitious event to date, seeing 56 fashion houses participate over four continents.

This year, the event will spread to new territories in Argentina, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. More than double the number of countries will be participating since the last event (in 2016, just six took part – this year, it will be 13). LVMH has stated that it will, therefore, “take on a new dimension.”
76 venues in these locations will offer 39 “iconic” experiences, with another 38 experiences which the public have never seen before. The overarching theme of this year’s Les Journées Particulières will be the five senses, and the event will showcase the “savoir-faire and creativity of artisans, along with the architectural and cultural heritage of LVMH houses.”
Noting the “growing international reach” of both LVMH and Les Journées Particulières, Antoine Arnault, CEO of Berluti, Chairman of Loro Piana, and the event’s founder, made the following comment in a press release:
“Les Journées Particulières was designed to embody our Houses’ hospitality and energy, and echoes the vital role that the act of transmitting plays for the LVMH Group: our aim is to share our diverse heritage, extensive savoir-faire and concrete innovations. This unmatched event has stepped up to the mark, each edition involves a growing number of Houses, talents and visitors, making this 4th edition a global celebration of the world of art, and craftsmanship.”
