Live Nation diversifies with a Clinton speaking tour

Live Nation is best known as a leading live entertainment provider that puts on concerts around the globe. But over this winter and next spring, the company will offer a very different form of live event: a speaking tour featuring Bill and Hillary Clinton. The Clintons, for anyone who has spent the last 30 years living under a rock, are one of American politics’ great power couples. Bill was one of the country’s most popular Presidents (from 1993 to 2001), and Hillary was probably the country’s most politically involved first lady, as well as secretary of state under President Barack Obama, and the Democratic nominee who faced off against Donald Trump at the country’s last general election.

The tour will commence in November, following the 2018 mid-term elections, and take the Clintons around America and Canada – mostly into friendly territory, with states that lean to the left. Destinations include Philadelphia, Seattle, Detroit and Boston, as well as Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. It will end in May next year.

According to Live Nation’s press release, the tour will offer attendees “the opportunity to hear one-of-a-kind conversations with the two leaders as they tell their stories from some of the most impactful moments in modern history. From the American presidency to the halls of the Senate and State Department, to one of the United States' most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections, they provide a unique perspective on the past, and remarkable insight into where we go from here.”
