Global Payments’ TouchNet awarded ‘Partner of the Year’ by Ellucian
Global Payments, a market-leading provider of payment technology and software solutions, has recently announced that its TouchNet business was named ‘Partner of the Year’ by Ellucian “a provider of software and services that power higher education”. Ellucian made the announcement at its Partner Forum reception at the EDUCAUSE Conference at the start of November in Denver, Colorado.

TouchNet is “the leading provider of integrated, comprehensive and secure commerce and credentials solutions for colleges and universities.” A press release from Global Payments said that the award – which recognised TouchNet’s ability to deliver a “streamlined and engaging” service – demonstrated the platform’s breadth and depth.
TouchNet offers a range of products to educational institutions that deal with identity verification (earlier this year it debuted “virtualised” credentials, letting students use smartphones and other ID tech rather than physical cards). It also offers a comprehensive payments platform for educational institutions.
Chris Westfall, Ellucian’s vice president of Partnerships, said: “TouchNet’s commitment to delivering maximum value enables Ellucian to consistently provide customers with best-in-class solutions, support and service.”
Ada McDonald, TouchNet’s president, added: “When you combine Ellucian’s feature rich technology and in-depth customer knowledge with our suite of specialized technology solutions, institutions gain the ability to efficiently build secure payment, access, and compliance processes. The partnership reaffirms our commitment to combine software and payments seamlessly and deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers worldwide.”
