Chr. Hansen is officially “world’s most sustainable company”
If you’ve been following the news (and this newsfeed) lately, you will probably have noticed that the importance of sustainability keeps ramping up. There are three obvious reasons for this: first, the planet continues to experience climate change, which sustainable practises can help address. Second, the science behind sustainability is getting better and better – meaning sustainable solutions are increasingly becoming cost-saving for businesses that want to use fewer resources. And third, consumers (and particularly millennial consumers and younger) are more aware than ever of the plight of the planet – and they’re exercising their pricing power to punish brands that don’t share their values. For all of these reasons, it’s great news for Danish bioscience firm that its been named the world’s most sustainable company at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
