Chr. Hansen appoints Givaudan president to CEO role from June
Global bioscience company Chr. Hansen (Hansen) services a number of industries by providing food cultures, probiotics, enzymes, and colours, made from natural ingredients. Now, the company has announced its choice of new CEO: Mauricio Graber, currently president of the flavours division at Givaudan. Graber is an industry veteran, and a senior position at scent and flavour giant Givaudan will have served as an excellent training ground for his new role. Graber will take the reigns at Hansen from June 1.
Hansen’s share price has appreciated by 57% over the past 12 months

Ole Andersen, chairman of the board at Hansen, made the following statement over Graber’s appointment: “With over 20 years of experience in the global ingredients industry, he is a truly international executive. Mauricio brings a strong track record and extensive global leadership experience from his current position. I am excited that Mauricio will take over as new CEO of Chr. Hansen and am convinced he is well suited to contribute to the continued strong performance and growth in Chr. Hansen.”
Graber is equally excited by the move, and told reporters: “I have followed Chr. Hansen for many years and am very impressed with its unique position and the strong results continuously being delivered. I am very excited to relocate to Copenhagen and join the company. I really look forward to meeting and beginning to work with the company’s leadership team and its many committed employees.”
