Amadeus looks to ethics with strengthened Key Travel partnership
IT giant Amadeus, the provider of backend services to a huge range of airports and other players in the travel sector, is furthering a long-standing partnership with ethical travel company Key Travel. Key Travel is a travel management company that works with humanitarian, faith-based and academic institutions, to protect their freedom of movement. Organisations in these areas often face particular complexities, and Key Travel is dedicated to helping overcome them. Now, Amadeus wants to help it provide a better service by giving it full access to the company’s market leading technological solutions.

Key Travel has a presence in 11 countries, and works with prominent aid and development agencies, leading faith-based organisations, and more than 150 universities globally. Empowered by Amadeus’ comprehensive suite of tools, they will be able to offer these clients a more personalised travel experience, which is not only preferable, but (in this case) vitally important.
Key Travel’s CEO, Saad Hammad, made the following comment over the partnership: “Key Travel’s mission is to reduce cost and complexity for those who travel to do good. Partnering with Amadeus gives us the right technology to deliver on our mission. Amadeus reflects our core values of impact, compassion and simplicity. We are excited about the benefits of working with such a strong team at Amadeus and look forward to deepening our partnership in the coming months.”
Georges Rudas, Amadeus’ senior vice president of WEMEA, business travel, and managing director France, added: “It gives us great pleasure to announce this partnership, helping enable a company whose focus is making a difference in the world. Key Travel has been long-standing partners of Amadeus and this renewed partnership will serve to strengthen our relationship. By providing Key Travel with Amadeus’ proprietary tools, we are uniquely placed to help their customers succeed in challenging travel conditions.”
